Privacy notice: Kaafla waitlist

Who we are
Kaafla is run by Anurag Gautam, who is responsible for your data until the Kaafla company is registered (this notice will be updated then). For anything about your data, write to our grievance officer, Anurag Gautam, at hello@kaafla.com. We reply within 7 days.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist: your full name, email address, mobile number and city. If you choose to tell us, also the car brands and model you are considering and when you plan to buy. We also record when you agreed to this notice and which version.
Why we collect it
- To tell you, by email and WhatsApp, when Kaafla opens in your city and send you a link to sign in.
- To decide which cities and cars to open first, using counts across everyone on the waitlist.
We use your details only for these purposes. We do not sell them, and we do not share them with car dealers.
Where it is kept and who handles it
Your details are stored in India. Three services handle them for us, only to run the waitlist:
- Supabase stores the waitlist in its Mumbai data centre.
- Cloudflare runs this website and passes your form to the database. It may process your request in the data centre nearest you.
- Resend sends our emails. It receives your name and email address to deliver them, and is based in the USA.
How long we keep it
If you don’t sign in to Kaafla within 24 months of joining, we delete them. When you sign in, your waitlist entry becomes your Kaafla account, covered by the full privacy policy.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your details at any time, withdraw your consent, and name someone to act for you. Withdrawing is as easy as agreeing: write to hello@kaafla.com, or reply “remove” to any of our emails, and we delete your entry. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
